Fast Food – Ads vs. Reality

I saw this article on a few different websites this morning and thought I share it around from the original source. It's from back in August 2010, but it gave me a chuckle as this comparison of what is seen in the ads and what you actually get at the take away is very truthful.

Fast Food – Ads vs. Reality
Testing fast food ads from Burger King, McDonald's, Taco Bell, and Jack In The Box, to see what you you actually get (or don't get, for that matter). False advertising 101.

I always knew that food in ads got doctored up, but never realized it was quite that bad.

+Josh Hall, yeah. I used to laugh when people on the tv ads would open their mouths super wide to take a tiny bite of the tiny sandwich. They stopped this and when with the "hero shot" of these oversized food models.

reminds me of the scene in Falling Down where the guy goes into a "McDonalds" with a SMG.

+Jake Gaston, oh my, I remember that scene. It was called "Whammyburger", but basically the same thing.
