██ SOPA Is Your Friend
a.k.a.: How I plan to abuse SOPA in a very legal way.

No, I'm not crazy. Yes, SOPA will be your friend. Before you pick up the phone and call the crazy house on me let me tell you why. I know it's long but please read all the way through it and you'll see the light too.

1. WIPO, which the U.S. is a member of, defines The Concept of Intellectual Property as the following:

_1.1 Intellectual property, very broadly, means the legal rights which result from intellectual activity in the industrial, scientific, literary and artistic fields. Countries have laws to protect intellectual property for two main reasons. One is to give statutory expression to the moral and economic rights of creators in their creations and the rights of the public in access to those creations. The second is to promote, as a deliberate act of Government policy, creativity and the dissemination and application of its results and to encourage fair trading which would contribute to
economic and social development.

_1.3 The Convention Establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), concluded in Stockholm on July 14, 1967 (Article 2(viii)) provides that “intellectual property shall include rights relating to:

– literary, artistic and scientific works,
– performances of performing artists, phonograms and broadcasts,
– inventions in all fields of human endeavor,
– scientific discoveries,
– industrial designs,
– trademarks, service marks and commercial names and designations,
– protection against unfair competition, and all other rights resulting from intellectual activity in the industrial, scientific, literary or artistic fields._

2. What copyright protects as defined by the U.S. government:

Copyright, a form of intellectual property law, protects original works of authorship including literary, dramatic, musical, and artistic works, such as poetry, novels, movies, songs, computer software, and architecture. Copyright does not protect facts, ideas, systems, or methods of operation, although it may protect the way these things are expressed. See Circular 1, Copyright Basics, section "What Works Are Protected."

3. When copyright begins in accordance with Circular 66 as published by the United States Copyright Office:

_Under U.S. law, copyright protection subsists from the time the work is fixed
in any tangible medium of expression from which it can be perceived, reproduced,
or otherwise communicated, either directly or with the aid of a machine or device.
Copyright registration is not mandatory…_

So what does all of this mean, this whole lot of legal mumbo jumbo? Simple, when SOPA is passed you can file against the U.S. government for infringing on your copyright. That's right, your copyright.

As established by the Constitution of the Unites States all works of the House, Senate, Presidential, and assigned offices shall be representative of the people without the people consigning and or waiving in such rights of independence. As such, with no waiver of or consignment of rights, all works produced by the government are works of the people and copyrighted to the people, as per Circular 66.

In plain English, this means that all government documents are copyrighted to the citizens of the United States and are allowed to exist per our allowance. If we should choose to exercise our copyrights then we have, through SOPA, the right to shut down the entire governments digital presence and paper presence. Currently this is not the case. And even with SOPA it probably wouldn't get shut down. Which gives each and every U.S. citizen the right to sue the U.S. government for compensation due to the harm they are causing us by refusing to comply with SOPA regulations.

It gets better though. Since, according to Circular 66, copyright exist from the moment of reproducible creation of an expression of an idea and or work of the mind that means every single person that has been on a news broadcast in the background, this includes your cars and so forth, you have the right to force the removal of that video clip and the right to sue for financial compensation to harm that has occurred to you because you were not compensated for the use of your copyrighted intellectual property. Your image was reproduced through the assistance of a machine and there for instantly copyrighted to you.

But wait, there's more. Since all traffic cameras, ATM cameras, security cameras, and pretty much every other safety camera is attached to a network. Since intellectual property is protected on closed networks as well, and networks are grouped into the online category, and SOPA protects intellectual property online and your identity as reproduced on machine assisted reproduction you can force the police, grocery stores, retail stores, banks, and anyone else using cameras to not only turn them off but to destroy all footage as well.

This also means you can force the shut down of the security systems in airports as well.

Oh, and for those that would argue that you don't have to frequent these establishments and or websites this would constitute false imprisonment._False imprisonment is defined as consisting of unlawful restraint against the will of an individual's personal liberty or freedom of locomotion. So yes, SOPA is your friend because it gives you the legal right to force so many things to be shut down and or financially compensate you for use of your intellectual property and or harm that you may have been forced to endure.

Here's the true happiness of it, you can't be stopped. Nothing more than a well written letter is required to cause the immediate removal and or cessation of services of infringing products, services and or reproductions as defined by SOPA. And since there's no protection from frivolous law suites we could all line up and file suite one after another every time a given target is reestablished.

Want to hear something even funnier? I'm not an attorney and I figured out how to abuse SOPA in a very legal manner. Now imagine what attorneys that work for high earning companies will be able to accomplish with SOPA.

If you're not scared you should be.
